Engraving and mezzotint,

The engraving shows the officers being received at Apsley House on the anniversary of the 18th June. Included among the officers with the Duke of Wellington are Lord Fitzroy Somerset (later Lord Raglan). Lord Raglan [1788-1855] was closely associated with Wellington having served with him in the Peninsular War and at Waterloo, and he later became his secretary. He married his niece Emily Wellesley-Pole. Charles Lewis spent three years on the engraving. Provenance: Cefntilla Court, Llandenny, Monmouthshire was built for Richard Somerset, 2nd Baron Raglan [1817-1884].
